+ Discovering a random rock cave

+ Sightseeing: the majestic dong van stone plateau

► MY STORY

Hi!, I am Long, I grew up in middle of Vietnam and studied and worked in Saigon for 6 years. And now, I am studying in Seoul South Korea.

After graduating with a B.A. in Engineering in Apr.2015, I wanted to do something crazy to celebrate my youth. I decided to travel around Vietnam completely on my own, my style. In the beginning, I just want to satisfy the feeling of discovery, collects destinations. I refer to many journeys around Vietnam (4-VN’s poles, peak, Indochina Border), then make a plan to travel. Afterward, I felt really shallow if only drive there to check in, take pictures and eating, or buy a tour and use available things. Why must I follow the forms available, trails?

Of course, I am not a pro, without training about survival skills, physical training, can not run motorcycle all day, no equipped pro gears & tools, no well known about cultures or food system in the regions, the network connection is also limited. That does not mean I have to buy a tour, join a group, follow a guide, sleep hotel.

I save money from the part-time job and self-preparation equipment, learn skills on youtube, self-planning, thorough research destinations. I Embark on Solo Adventures combines learning the local culture, making friends, many activities: motorcycling, free diving, hiking, climbing free, trekking, bushcraft with a very low budget, no touristic services. I went to the Jungles / mountains / villages / islands / borders / VN’s poles. Rethinking, my travel style combines many kinds of travels. I will use a broader definition to collectively for my style which is “Adventure – Embark on your adventure”.

Besides exciting peaks, happy times, observe natural beauty; receive hospitality from strangers, I faced a lot of trouble during the journey, almost died several times, overcame many obstacles, and conquered hunger, getting lost, fear, and pain (Not available in this video). I have attempted to overcome and understand more about yourself, my limit. I save valuable experiences in my adventure diary and continue to discover new lands. These adventures will be a motivation for the next step of my life goals, regarding Adventures, I got my own crazy plan before 25 and before 30. For each adventure, I will make an appointment for 10 years later to return (with my wife and my children, will be no dangerous), visit the spots where I got to experiences, visit the local people who helped me in the past.
